Dear Students and Parents,

We are coming to the close of another year. There are a lot of upcoming activities to be aware of:

Upcoming Calendar

• In-school assembly is Friday May 7 at 1: 30

Instruments

All MWSA instruments will be rechecked out for summer or turned in at your Assembly. Summer rental is $40.00. Also, we will be asking for a $50.00 deposit on all instruments rented from us. This deposit will be returned to you when the instrument is returned. Please make sure you have all items included with your instrument at the Assembly regardless of whether you are re-renting or turning in. For questions regarding instruments please call Camille at 770-9189

Practice-a-thon

Was a big success. Thank you to everyone who participated and practiced! We were able to pay for our new sound system that will be used in multiple performances throughout the upcoming years! Thanks to Tera Maughan and all the moms who helped with this huge event. It was a lot of time and work!

Summer events

The 1st year students have been invited to perform at a really cool event with the Cache Chamber Orchestra on July 4th. We will have summer classes beginning June 15 to prepare. Classes will be held Tues, Wed, and Thurs. from 9-10:30 am through July 1st. Location is not yet known. Plan for a rehearsal with the Cache Chamber Orchestra possibly on July 1st at 7:00 pm. Cost for the summer program will be $50.00. More details will be coming.

Ambassadors

For those first year students that are interested in participating in Ambassadors next year, now is the time to start preparing! At your Performance Parties information on Ambassadors will be available for you to pick up and take home! Watch for that. This next year the Ambassadors will be performing in the Salt Lake City Tabernacle.

Private Lessons

Keep praticing all summer! Private lessons are a great way to keep up on your skills. If you need information on private teachers please call Laura Morgan at 755-0251.

Volunteers

We need volunteers all the time. There are so many different ways you can help. If you have 2 hours to 30 hours per year, you can help us! If you would like to volunteer your time to help please call Korene Knight at 752-5185. Right now we are looking for a volunteer to help us with interactive online games. We are always looking for communication moms and moms to help with activities including our Practice-a-thon next year.
